Navigating different queer terms that have joined our language can seem intimidating. There is a lot of new terminology and you don’t want to mess it up. Pride & Joy have compiled a short definition for each letter of LGBTQIA+ so you can use them confidently.
The term LGBTQIA+ has not been in our vocabulary for very long, and you may be aware of only certain elements of it. Understandably, if you are hearing this new term in the media, or from your child, you want to grasp it as best as you can.
